This site contains manuscripts from the Federal Writer's Project that come from various states across the United States. I am focusing on North Carolina in particular and this page is the results of looking at manuscripts solely from North Carolina.
I will be looking through the various manuscripts to try to find several that deal with how people viewed education during this time. As I find the particular ones that deal with my question, I will post their specific links below.
